Troon are delighted to announce the signing of defender Luke Watt from Cumnock.

27 year old Luke began his career at Motherwell where he made 7 appearances in the Premier Division, before embarking on a stellar senior career with the likes of Stranraer, East Fife, Airdrieonians & Brechin City, as well as spell in Croatia with NK Novigrad. He joined Cumnock in October 2023 from Stranraer.

Manager Jimmy Kirkwood was delighted to land the former Motherwell player.

His signing is a no-brainer for us, his experience and versatility gives us real options in the back line.

He’s a player who has always impressed against us & one that always sticks in your mind, and when the opportunity came up we were interested straight away. He is a right sided defender, but he can play in a number of positions & that ticks a number of boxes for us as we look to next season.

Thanks to Jamie & all at Cumnock for their assistance in getting this transfer done, professional as always.

Welcome to Portland Park, Luke!
