An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Goalkeeping Coach to join our Coaching staff.
The successful candidate will form part of our management & coaching team, reporting directly to our Team Manager Jimmy Kirkwood and Assistant Team Manager Marty Fraser to ensure our goalkeeping department is working to the highest standards.
Roles and Responsibilities will include:
- Plan & execute training sessions for our first team goalkeepers twice a week (Mon & Weds)
- Complete warm-ups with first team goalkeepers on matchdays
- Assist First Team Manager with recruitment of new goalkeepers through scouting & analysis
- Liaise with Development Team Coaches to train Development goalkeepers
- Liaise with Youth Academy Coaches to monitor training of academy goalkeepers
- Foster an environment within the club of a goalkeeper team to assist player pathway
- Liaise with Kit Person to ensure correct kit & equipment is where it needs to be for training/games
- Take responsibility for safe use of kit & equipment at training & matches
- Be expected to maintain high standards of work, keeping the whole work area of the department clean, neat, tidy and organised. This will include occasional sweeping and general tidying of the kit and boot rooms.
Essential Requirements
- Scottish FA 1.3 Goalkeeping Coaching Certificate, and on the pathway to a C Licence
- Scottish FA Hampden 1st Aid Certificate
- Combination of specialist goalkeeping and broader football coaching knowledge, understanding and skills.
- A dedicated individual with an eye for detail, enthusiastic and self-driven.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- The ability to work well individually and within a team environment.
