Defender Aldin El-Zubaidi has moved on from the club, after two seasons at Portland Park.

The left-sided centre-back, who has just turned 30 earlier this month, joined the Seasiders on loan in January 2024 in the midst of a defensive crisis after a spell of not playing for Kilwinning, and he has done superbly well to get himself into the shape of his life & make an impact at the club. Following the expiry of his contract at Buffs Park, he signed on permanently at Portland Park, where he is a very popular figure amongst supporters & in the dressing room.

The towering 6′ 4″ Iraqi began his career in Scotland with Scottish Premier League side Hamilton Academical, before spells with Cowdenbeath, Stirling Albion, Albion Rovers & Elgin City, playing more than 100 games in the SPFL. He joined Chris Strain’s Kilwinning Rangers in February 2022.

Aldin moves on to seek pastures new, if any club would like his contact details just contact the club & we will happily pass them on.

Everyone at the club would like to wish Aldin all the very best for the future & look forward to welcoming him back to Portland Park in the future!
