UNACCEPTABLE / DISORDERLY CONDUCT AT PORTLAND PARK, AND AT AWAY FOOTBALL GROUNDS
Troon Football Club is a family and inclusive club open to all and we make every effort to make everyone feel welcome when they come to Portland Park.
The club will NOT tolerate unacceptable conduct at Portland Park, or at away football stadiums.
We encourage members of the Troon footballing family to present a positive image while representing the club both home and away.
UNACCEPTABLE CONDUCT IS CONDUCT WHICH IS VIOLENT OR DISORDERLY
Violent conduct includes:
- Actual, attempted or threatened physical violence against any person
- Intentional damage to property
Disorderly conduct includes:
Conduct which stirs up or sustains or is likely to stir up or sustain hatred or ill will against or towards individuals or groups of people because of:
- Gender
- Colour, race, nationality (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origin, membership or presumed membership, of a religious group or of a social or cultural group with perceived affiliations
- Sexual orientation
- Transgender identity
- Disability
- Using threatening, abusive or insulting words or conduct
- Displaying writing or any other thing which is threatening, abusive or insulting
ANY PERSON ENGAGING IN UNACCEPTABLE CONDUCT MAY BE SUBJECT TO ANY OR A COMBINATION OF THE FOLLOWING:
- Removal from the stadium
- Suspension from attending fixtures involving Troon Football Club
- Indefinite ban from attending fixtures involving Troon Football Club
- Indefinite ban from Portland Park
- Report to Police Scotland and possible criminal proceedings
COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITY
Everyone associated with the Club has a responsibility to prevent and discourage any form of abuse and as such are responsible not only for their own actions but also those of others.
We would therefore encourage everyone to bring to the Club’s attention, any incident or behaviour, of individuals or groups of individuals, deemed to be in breach of this policy.
Whilst it is appreciated that behaviour such as that listed above involves a minority of individuals we do not wish to be complacent and want to continue to maintain the highest standards behaviour both on and off the field of play.
We want the name of Troon Football Club to be associated with fairness and civic responsibility.
