New Signing – Welcome back Dale Moore!

Troon are delighted to announce the signing of Dale Moore from St. Cadoc’s.

The 29 year old midfielder, who began his career with Glenafton Boys Club, spent six seasons at Portland Park earlier in his career after signing from Ayr United. He joined an ADL side as a teenager at the start of Jimmy Kirkwood’s reign at Troon, and he was a key player as we rose from the regional leagues with promotion to the Super Leagues, then won the Ayrshire Cup & Super First with a record points total in 2013/14.

Following our relegation to the Super First in 2017, Dale moved on & joined Glenafton Athletic following their treble winning season & enjoyed their senior Scottish Cup run, culminating in an away match at Livingston. After Glenafton’s decision not to compete in last season’s WOSFL campaign due to the COVID pandemic, he joined the new Glasgow side St. Cadoc’s along with a number of his team-mates.

After requesting to leave St. Cadoc’s in December following the departure of manager Craig McEwan, he had a number of other attractive offers, but we are delighted that he has chosen to see his future back at Portland Park.

Thanks to Barry at St. Cadoc’s for his assistance in getting the deal done, very much appreciated.

Welcome home, Gunner!
