It’s Friday Night Football this week for Troon, who are back on the road as they head up to Yoker to face Clyde’s Scottish Cup conquerors Clydebank.

⚽️ Clydebank versus Troon F.C. ⚽️
Friday 3rd December 2021
PDM Buildbase WOSFL Premier Division
Holm Park, Yoker
Kick-off 7.30pm
Troon bade a fond farewell to November in unbeaten style last Saturday.
A convincing draw against Kilwinning Rangers followed hot on the heels of the double header with Largs which saw a league win and progress to the last 32 of the Cup which followed the win against Rutherglen Glencairn. Now we have secured our Premier Division status (from the first half of the season at least) we can look upwards in the League & Jimmy Kirkwood & Dean Keenan will be looking for our squad to continue this form with some season-defining games coming up in December, starting this weekend.
Clydebank have endured some real highs this season so far, with some memorable moments in the Scottish Cup culminating in a brilliant 2-0 win over Clyde on Saturday that saw them into the 4th round draw.
Clydebank currently sit in 3rd place in the Premier Division table, 14 points ahead of us sitting in 10th.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Saturday’s match…

Josh Black has recovered from a knock sustained against Rutherglen Glencairn a few weeks ago & Chris Murchie is recovering from surgery on the shoulder he injured against Pollok a few weeks ago, but he will hopefully be back in action early December.
Of our long-term absentees, Todd Henderson is working hard as he recovers from surgery on his knee injury & he is back running at training and targeting a return to playing action in January. Mark Morrison (knee) and Ross McCrea (knee) remain out.

Firstly, congratulations to all at Clydebank for their incredible Scottish Cup feat.
We can all look forward to an exciting fixture I think. Friday night under the lights, it doesn’t get better.
We are in good form just now, the boys are going into the trenches for each other week in, week out. Developing good relationships all over the park and that’s resulted in us getting more points on the board.
Hopefully more of the same on Friday.
Dean Keenan (Assistant Manager)

⚽️️ JAMIE DARROCH ⚽️
In every team that likes to attack, a strong backline that loves to defend is vital – and that is where the bald Ramos comes in!
Quick over the ground, strong in the air & a threat in both boxes, he’s a key player for the Bankies.

⚽️️ NICKY LITTLE ⚽️
Captain of the side & the talisman of the club, Nicky is renowned for his amazing goal return scoring 109 goals in just 175 games for the Bankies.
© Thanks to Stevie Doogan at Clydebank for his amazing photographs, as always!

Troon and Clydebank didn’t face each other during the 2020-21 season, which was eventually declared null & void due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
In our first encounter of 2019-20, Troon ran out 2-0 winners on 17th August 2019 in an impressive victory at Portland Park.
The return match in December was another entertaining affair that this time ended 2-1 to Troon, Troon’s goals coming from Scott Chatham & Ryan Stevenson.
