Scottish Junior Cup – 22nd October

Following on from the postponement of our Scottish Junior Cup match on Saturday 24th September, we have been notified by the Scottish Junior Football Association (SJFA) that the SFA have finally heard the case and Irvine Victoria’s appeal has been dismissed.

Furthermore, following an SJFA Management Meeting on Thursday night it has been decided that Fraserburgh United will be reinstated into the competition and will travel to Portland Park on Saturday 22nd October for our 2nd round tie. The winner of our tie will progress to the 3rd round & will travel to face Blantyre Victoria at Castle Park on Saturday 29th October, the same day as the other 3rd round ties are due to take place.

This process may have taken longer than we would like, but we are satisfied this has come to a conclusion & thank SJFA Chief Alex McDowall for his communication & fixtures chief Kennie Young for his communication in arranging alternative fixtures.
