Troon Football Club will hold our Player of the Year 2025-26 awards night for the First Team and our Development Team in the Portland Park Social Club on the night of Saturday 23rd May 2026. Doors will open at 6.30pm ahead of a 7pm start.
What a season it has been so far at Troon Football Club!
- First, we secured our status as a Scottish FA Licensed Club in March, which made us eligible for promotion at the end of the season and will see us take part in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup for the first time ever next season.
- The key target for the season of promotion to the Lowland League West for 2026/27 was confirmed with six matches to spare, which will see us compete at the fifth tier of Scottish football for the first time in the club’s 80 year history.
- Secured a club record highest league finish, after guaranteeing a top 3 finish in the WOSFL Premier Division this season.
- And then came Sunday 3rd May, as we reached our first Cup Final since 2016 and lifted the first piece of silverware since 2014, defeating Auchinleck Talbot 1-0 at Broadwood to lift the West of Scotland Cup.
All round, a season to be EXTREMELY proud of!
DEVELOPMENT TEAM (U20s)
The Development Team have enjoyed another superb season under the tutelage of Tony Murphy, Steven McNally, Ross Armour and now Stuart Boyd & Duncan McMurdo. They won their Conference for the second season running in early April, and are looking forward to rounding off their season with the Robbie Meiklem Cup Final next Sunday 17th May.
But most importantly, the progression of young players into the first team has continued, with several Youth Academy players playing in the first team in 2025-26, which we are absolutely delighted about. Almost all of the players are signed for the Development Team for next season already and with some new additions coming in, we will be very well poised to go & kick on next season to continue the good work.
