Troon are delighted to announce the signing of Kyle Gilroy from Bonnyton Thistle, following the expiry of his contract in June.

The 24 year old forward, who is equally comfortable playing out wide, began his career at Crosshouse before moving on to Bonnyton Thistle where he spent 4 seasons in the South of Scotland League & then the West of Scotland Football League.

He had a number of other offers this summer, and we are delighted that he has chosen to see his future at Portland Park.

Assistant Manager Dean Keenan was delighted to recruit the pacey frontman.

We know Kyle’s strengths from having faced him last season, and we believe he can add something that has maybe been missing from the front end of the pitch.

We know how coveted he was & we see it as a major coup for Troon that we have him signed up for this season. I believe that his future could belong at an even higher level, so excited to see what this season brings for him.

Following the summer signing of goalkeeper Dale Burgess from Beith, the addition of Kyle adds a real bit of quality in the forward areas to our already talented squad.

Welcome to the club, Kyle!
