Troon are delighted to announce the permanent signing of Aldin El-Zubaidi, following a successful loan spell last season from Kilwinning Rangers.

The 29 year old defender joined the Seasiders on loan in January in the midst of a defensive crisis after a spell of not playing for Kilwinning, and he has done superbly well to get himself match fit & make an impact at the club. Following the expiry of his contract at Buffs Park, we are delighted he has committed his future to Portland Park, where he is a very popular figure.

The towering 6′ 4″ Iraqi began his career in Scotland with Hamilton Academical, before spells with Cowdenbeath, Stirling Albion, Albion Rovers & Elgin City. He joined Chris Strain’s Kilwinning Rangers in February 2022.

Delighted to keep you at Portland Park, Aldin!
