Troon are delighted to announce the signing of Callan Veitch from Cumnock, following the expiry of his contract at Townhead Park.

The 23 year old midfielder began his career in the Kilmarnock Youth Academy & was considered a hot prospect in his early years. He moved on to join Hurlford United in 2019 and quickly became one to watch in the heart of the midfield for the SJFA West Region Premier Division.

After two seasons at Blair Park, Cumnock snapped him up under Manager Tony McInally, but more often than not he was utilised higher up the park, quite often out wide from the left hand side.

Manager Jimmy Kirkwood was delighted to get his man.

Callan is a fantastic player, who has been on our radar for a good long while. He has a physical presence, and his technique as a central midfielder is exactly what suits our style of play. His versatility is a bonus, but we see him playing centrally and helping to dictate play for us.
