Troon would like to thank Darvel, as well as the player himself, after David Syme‘s loan deal was completed & David returned to Recreation Park.

The 25 year old defender returned to Portland Park on 22nd February to complete his rehabilitation after a serious knee injury, which had kept him out of the game for best part of a year, and he was a solid performer in the four matches he was here. With an upturn in form for the club from the beginning of February, wins against Pollok, Arthurlie, Hurlford & Petershill all came during his loan period & he even got on the scoresheet against Arthurlie (above).

Pending completion of all paperwork from Hampden, David may even be in the squad to face us on Saturday when Darvel visit Portland Park in a league match.

Thanks for your efforts, Davie!
