Troon players Sam McCloskey and Ben Black have both joined WOSFL First Division side Whitletts Victoria on a temporary basis in pursuit of regular game time.

Both players have been regulars & fans favourites at the club since joining in the summer of 2021, but with added competition this season both players have found starting jerseys increasingly hard to come by. With both players fit & raring to go, they are understandably keen for first team football & the club are keen to respect that given their service to the club.

With former Rangers defender & Ayr United Manager Brian Reid recently being appointed as Whitletts Manager, he is eager to add quality to his ranks as they chase the top 8 and promotion to the Premier Division, and both lads fit right into that category.

Everyone at the club would like to wish Sam & Ben all the very best at New Voluntary Park, and look forward to welcoming them back to Portland!
