The draw for the 1st round of this season’s South Region Challenge Cup was drawn this week by our own Richard Henderson at Portland Park.
Troon will travel to face Fauldhouse United in the first round, in a match that will take place on Saturday 15th August. The winners of that tie will travel to face Saltire City at Budhill Park in Shettleston in the second round on Saturday 5th September.

What is the format of the South Challenge Cup?
The competition features 162 senior non-league clubs from the Lowland League (West), Lowland League (East), East of Scotland Football League, South of Scotland Football League, and West of Scotland Football League.
The opening two rounds of previous year’s competition were regionalised but this has been changed for this season, now giving us an “all-in” draw.
