Our Development Team are to take part in the inaugural Robbie Meiklem Memorial Cup this summer as part of their pre-season preparations.
A young & promising midfielder with Ayr United, Whitletts, Auchinleck Talbot & eventually Girvan, Robbie Meiklem very sadly took his own life last September. His friends & family have been working hard to pay the best tribute to his memory, and a football tournament involving some friends & former teammates of Robbie’s, which will involve some fundraising as well to contribute to Robbie’s legacy charity.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
With six competing teams, there will be two leagues of 3 teams & eventually a final between the two league winners in late July.
Well done to the Development Team for taking part in such an important event, and best of luck to all those fundraising for such a wonderful cause in Robbie’s memory!
