New Signing – welcome Lewis Lovering!

Troon are delighted to announce the signing of Lewis Lovering from Beith.

The 25 year old winger began his career with his local side Pollok United, before he joined Drumchapel United for a season. He first joined his family’s club of Benburb in 2017, but a two year spell with Neilston followed before a brief spell in the SPFL with Albion Rovers.

Lewis is best known for a 4 year spell back at Benburb, where he played under the tutelage of his father Paul, and he really made his mark on the WOSFL from wide left. His direct running, aggression & ability in the air made him a standout in the top flight and two Player of the Season awards made him hot property when he decided to leave New Tinto Park in 2024, and he chose a move to Champions Beith.

Manager Jimmy Kirkwood was pleased to secure one of the most in-demand players in this summer’s transfer market.

Lewis is a top, top player & we are delighted to bring him to Troon. He is a proper player, from a real footballing family, and to bring him in will maybe raise a few eyebrows round about us. He adds some height & physicality in forward areas, and he’ll bring some real balance to the side. Another player who carries a goal threat from all over, so I’m really pleased he decided to commit his future to Troon.

Lewis will join Troon on 1st July, following the expiry of his contract at Beith.

Welcome to Portland Park, Lewis!
