Troon are delighted to announce the signing of Kyle Faulds from Pollok.
The 33 year old midfielder began his career in the SPL with St. Mirren, spending seven years as a bright prospect in their youth academy, before moving to Auchinleck Talbot in 2011 after a loan spell at Arbroath. Following two seasons at Beechwood Park, life took him to University & he joined the University of Stirling team in the Lowland League, spending four seasons. A brief return to Talbot followed, before three seasons at their nearest rivals Cumnock.
Kyle’s former Talbot teammate Colin Spence took him to Meadow Park in 2021 and he became a key player in the midfield for the Medda, often wearing the Captain’s armband in his two seasons in North Ayrshire. He became one of Stewart Maxwell’s key signings in his first proper summer as Pollok Manager in 2023, making 55 appearances in the following two seasons at Newlandsfield.
Manager Jimmy Kirkwood was pleased to get his summer transfer business underway.
Kyle is a very sensible signing for us, he brings plenty of experience & know-how into our midfield. He has been an excellent player at this level for some time, a player we know well from facing over the years, and he adds something different into our side. He’s a local lad, and his leadership qualities are a big addition to the dressing room.
Kyle will join Troon on 1st July, following the expiry of his contract at Pollok.
Welcome to Portland Park, Kyle!
