Troon are delighted to announce the permanent signing of defender Jamie Mills following the expiry of his contract at WOSFL Premier Division side Drumchapel United.

The 30 year old full-back began his career in the Rangers Youth Academy, where he spent 8 years before progressing to adult football with Stirling Albion. After a season at Forthbank, Jamie moved into the Lowland League with BSC Glasgow (later to become Broomhill) where he spent four successful seasons. A move back into the SPFL with Stenhousemuir followed, before he took a step into the WOSFL with Drumchapel. He lifted the 1st Division title with Adam Hopes’ men, building his reputation down the left flank.

Given Jack Sherrie’s long-term injury, another important piece of the jigsaw has now been put into place ahead of an important season.

Welcome to Portland Park, Jamie!
