Glenafton, however, have had an equally positive start to the season and will not be short on confidence either. Two wins, a draw & a defeat in the league, alongside progression in both Cups at the expense of Bonnyton & East Kilbride Thistle, means they’ll be looking towards this encounter with optimism.
We have no new injury concerns this week, thankfully. Josh Black & Tommy Maitland both returned to the starting line-up last time out and suffered no ill-effects.
Logan Smith remains on the sidelines for now, although he is expected to return to next Saturday’s squad, but other than that the squad is in rude health & competition for places is strong.
Another tough game, Ryan & Marko have got the Glenafton team flying & full of confidence. We always have tough matches with the Glens, and we always enjoy our encounters, but it’ll be very tough, there’s no doubt about that.
Obviously terribly sad news last week on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and calling off the weekend fixtures was absolutely the correct decision. We’ll get the opportunity to pay our respects ahead of the game on Saturday, before we concentrate on the football.
