Ewan McLevy moves on

Defender Ewan McLevy has decided to move on from the club, after four years at Portland Park.

The 25 year old full-back, who also featured at centre-back and in midfield, began his career at Ayr United before moving on to Kilmarnock’s Youth Academy where he spent 8 seasons, enjoying a brief spell in the Juniors on loan at Kilwinning Rangers. After a couple of games at East Fife, he spent the remainder of the 2020-21 season at Brechin City where he impressed on the right flank.

He signed up at Portland Park in July 2021 where he quickly cemented his place in the side & became a fans favourite at his hometown club, and lifting Young Player of the Year at the end of his first season. In total, he made 113 appearances for the Seasiders and scoring 2 goals.

Ewan suffered a season-ending knee injury in our South Region Challenge Cup match away to St. Roch’s in October, only returning to light training in the closing weeks of the season. He was invited into pre-season training to gauge his fitness & discuss a new contract from there, but he has decided it’s time for a fresh start & he has joined his former club Kilwinning Rangers to strengthen their defence following their return to the Premier Division.

Everyone at the club would like to wish Ewan all the very best for the future, and we look forward to welcoming him & his family back to Portland Park any time!
