All at the club are deeply shocked & saddened to hear of the passing of former Troon cameraman & club volunteer, Alan Gray.

Alan was a long-time Troon resident & frequent visitor to Portland Park with his dog Alfie (when his beloved Ayr United were away from home), before taking over as our club cameraman during the Covid years. His video clips, interviews & coverage of the matches were invaluable at a time when supporter’s were locked out of games & Alan’s selfless work meant that no supporters missed out on their football fix.

He subsequently launched his own video business full-time, Memories by Movie, and we were all delighted with the massive success he made of it. He even became shirt sponsor with a couple of of our youth academy teams, something he was very proud of.

A lovely man with a wicked sense of humour, he will be very sadly missed by all those who knew him.
