A massive well done to our Development Team, who have been crowned Champions of the West of Scotland Football Development League Conference E.

WOSFDL Committee Man Brendan Boyle made the visit to Portland Park tonight to present the boys with the trophy in front of an excellent crowd.

Our Development Team now go into the Champions Cup, which will see the winners of all five conferences compete for an outright winner. Gretna 2008 have already won Conference A and Knightswood have won Conference C, while Conferences B and D are going right to the wire. A random draw will be made for a single Quarter-Final tie, then two semi-finals will be drawn at random, with the final played at Broadwood Stadium as the final match of the season.

A very well done to Stuart, Mark, Richard & all of the boys, a fantastic achievement to win back to back league championships cementing our place as one of the best youth academies and pathways in the West of Scotland. And a special mention must go to the departed coaching team of Tony Murphy, Steven McNally & Ross Armour for all their contributions this season, and all they did while at the club.

Well done to the Troon stars of tomorrow!
