Ben Strain has joined WOSFL Fourth Division side Lugar Boswell Thistle until the end of the season to get some first team football.

Ben initially joined Troon’s Development side in 2022, immediately standing out as one to watch despite being only 17 at the time. He found himself part of Jimmy Kirkwood’s first team plans, making several appearances in 2022-23 before joining the first team squad last summer.

19 year old Ben joins George Wallace’s side who are chasing promotion back to the Third Division, and he will go into the squad to make his debut tomorrow.

All the very best, Ben!
