We are delighted to announce that our brand new floodlights have been successfully signed off by the contractors, and our first game “Under the lights” will be next Friday when we welcome Petershill!

⚽️ Troon F.C. versus Petershill⚽️
Friday 30th December 2022
PDM Buildbase WOSFL Premier Division
Portland Park, Troon
Kick-off 7.30pm

Following the news our request for planning permission had been granted a couple of months ago, our Chairman Jim Kirkwood has been working hard alongside our contractors to carry out the schedule of works & we were all pleased to break ground last month on the project.

The stanchions were delivered in November & erected shortly after by Halliday Lighting, before the electrical work was completed & the floodlight heads installed. After extensively testing the floodlights, we are now in a position to play matches under floodlights for the first time in nearly 20 years.

NEXT STAGES

Work will begin in early February on our brand new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) behind the goal at the far end of the ground. Once completed, we will have the use of two floodlit astro 5 a side parks, or one 7-a-side park which will be available for open hire, as well as for our academy teams to book.

Exciting times at Troon Football Club!
