Troon goalkeeper Scott Johnstone has announced that he is retiring from football because of work commitments.

Fans favourite “ScoJo” joined Troon from Girvan in July 2018, and was crowned as the runaway Player of The Year in his debut season as Troon returned to the top flight & secured their place in the SJFA West Premiership.

ScoJo (pictured above, SCORING against Rob Roy last season) said today, “I need to retire from football due to work commitments. It’s been a great two years with you all, and I hope you all have a great season when it happens.”

I’m sure everyone connected with Troon would like to wish Scott & all his family all the very best for the future.
