Highly-rated young Troon player Rhys Oyegbesan has this week joined WOSFL First Division promotion chasers Gartcairn on loan until the end of the season to further his development.

The 18 year old joined our Development Team in the summer of 2024. He was a star man in the midfield for Tony Murphy’s side which romped to the West of Scotland Development League Conference E title in 2024/25 and the semi-final of the Cup, but the next stage of his development is to get some first team football in an adult environment.

He joins John Cartwright’s exciting young Gartcairn side who are sitting in 2nd position & chasing a top 8 position which will see them compete an immediate return to the Premier Division next season.
