Player of the Year Awards 2024-25 – Troon Football Club

Troon Football Club held our Player of the Year 2024-25 awards night at the club on Saturday night.

It has been a superb season this time out, sitting in the top six almost all season and securing a 4th place finish on the final weekend which equals our highest ever finish in the top flight, making history with our highest ever points tally.

Importantly for the club, the progression of young players into the first team has continued, with 16 YOUTH ACADEMY PLAYERS playing in the first team in 2024-25, which we are absolutely delighted about. With the plans already in place for the first team and the Development Team for 2025-26, we will be very well poised to go & kick on next season.

All round, a season to be proud of!

THE DEVELOPMENT TEAM AWARDS

DEVELOPMENT TEAM GOLDEN BOOT FOR TOP SCORER 2024-25
WINNER: KIERAN LOGAN

Steven McNally presented the first award of the night for the Development Team, the Top Goalscorer Award for 2024-25.

The top three were as follows:

Kieran Logan (46 goals)
Matthew Hughes (14 goals)
Joe McCarroll (13 goals)

DEVELOPMENT TEAM SUPPORTER’S PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2024-25
WINNER: ROHAN HARKINS

Club Secretary Richard Henderson presented the next award of the night for the Development Team, the Supporter’s Player of the Year award for 2024-25.

The top two were as follows:

Rohan Harkins (75% of the vote)
Rocco Devenny (25% of the vote)

DEVELOPMENT TEAM MANAGER’S PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2024-25
WINNER: ROHAN HARKINS

Development Team Head Coach Tony Murphy presented the next award of the night for the Development Team, the Manager’s Player of the Year Award for 2024-25.

He discussed this award with Neil Sanderson, Stuart Boyd & Steven McNally, and all were in complete agreement over the winner.

DEVELOPMENT TEAM PLAYER’S PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2024-25
WINNER: DUNCAN JAMIESON

Stuart Boyd presented the final award of the night for the Development Team, the Player’s Player of the Year Award for 2024-25.

The top three were as follows:

Duncan Jamieson (55% of the vote)
Rohan Harkins (27% of the vote)
Kieran Logan / Joe McCarroll (5% of the vote)

Andy Smyth presented the first award of the night, the Top Goalscorer Award for 2024-25.

Chairman Jim Kirkwood presented the next trophy of the evening, the Committee Player of the Year.

Coach Marty Fraser presented the next trophy of the evening, the Young Player of the Year.

A massive award for our club, as we have always promoted young players and created a pathway for them to the first team.
