New Signing – welcome Craig Watson!

Troon are delighted to announce the loan signing of wide player Craig Watson from SPFL Premiership side Kilmarnock until the end of the season.

The 17 year old, who is comfortable all down the right hand side, is the younger brother of Kilmarnock’s star midfielder David Watson.

Craig has been in the Kilmarnock Youth Academy since the age of 10, initially joining in March 2018, and he has progressed through the ranks with style. A member of the squad who won the Scottish Youth Cup Final at Hampden in May, he is very much ploughing his own furrow to make his way in the game. He was arguably the standout player in a friendly between Troon and Kilmarnock at Portland Park in July, scoring a beautiful free-kick and converting another from his right wing-back position, and he made a lasting impression in that match amongst the players & coaching staff.

Craig will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s Scottish Communities Cup match away to Beith.

Welcome to Portland Park, Craig!
