The West of Scotland Football Development League Fixtures Secretary Alan Clark has released the schedule of league fixtures for this season, and we start our campaign in the WOSFDL Conference E at home to Auchinleck Talbot on Friday 12th September 2025.
There will likely be a few amendments to these dates as the season progresses, especially as Cup fixtures are drawn, but these will be communicated via our social media accounts & website throughout the season.
Development League Cup 2025-26

The competitive season begins with the West of Scotland Football Development League Cup.
54 member clubs are drawn at random into 9 groups, who will then play each other once in the group stage. The group winners will progress into the knockout stage.
The 55th member club, Glasgow University, are not participating in this competition due to term dates.
Troon have been drawn into Group 6, and will start our campaign away to Dumbarton on Friday 1st August 2025.

Robbie Meiklem Memorial Trophy 2025-26

The competition began last season as the Clyde Cup, a straight knock-out Cup between all the clubs in the WOSFDL, before the WOSFDL quite rightly renamed it the “Robbie Meiklem Memorial Trophy” after former Girvan & Auchinleck Talbot midfielder Robbie, who sadly took his own life in 2023. His father Robert is working hard to make Robbie’s memory a legacy.
Troon were narrowly edged out at the semi-final stage, beaten 3-1 by eventual winners Caledonian Locomotives.

Combined Challenge Cup 2025-26

The Combined Challenge Cup is a competition we are familiar with, and will be a straight knock-out competition featuring Lowland Development League and East of Scotland Football Development League teams, and will be played throughout the season. It is essentially the Scottish Cup at this level.
Troon had a tough draw last season, and lost out at the 1st round stage to University of Stirling, but certainly learned a valuable lesson that day. Improvement is certainly a target this season!
