We are delighted to announce that Troon F.C. Development Team Captain Clayton Hood has committed his future to the club by signing a professional contract with the club.

The talented 19 year old, who has been part of our Development Team for over a year, began his career with local side AC Irvine before moving to Ayr United, where he spent two seasons. he had spells with both Tass Thistle and Irvine Meadow before heading to join Tony Murphy’s young team, where he made an almost instant impact. Played in his preferred midfield position, he has dominated games & his character quickly became apparent, resulting in him being named Captain at the start of the current season. His versatility has come to the fore since being involved with the first team, bursting onto the scene with a second half cameo at right-back away to Auchinleck Talbot in May with a superb performance.

He has been quickly identified by Jimmy, Andy & Marty as one to watch for the future & we are delighted to see him commit his future to the club.

Well done, Clayton!
