Consistently inconsistent Troon make the shortest of away trips up the road to Kilmarnock and Synergy Arena’s 3G surface to face Bonnyton Thistle.
⚽️ Bonnyton Thistle versus Troon F.C. ⚽️
Saturday 14th August 2021
PDM Buildbase WOSFL Premier Division
Synergy Arena, Kilmarnock
Kick-off 2pm
It’s back to the drawing board for the Seasider’s after a frustrating 3-1 defeat at the hands of Blantyre, but with a better record on their travels Jimmy Kirkwood’s men will be keeping their fingers crossed.
Bonnyton had a fantastic start to the season with a memorable 3-1 win against Pollok at home, but have since fallen to five straight defeats & are the only side in the division with a poorer strike rate than their visitors.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Saturday’s match…
Raymond Montgomerie is suspended & misses the game after his late sending off against Blantyre on Wednesday & Ewan McLevy is the only real injury doubt for Saturday with a groin strain.
Of our long-term absentees, Ross McCrea is working on his rehabilitation after a setback following surgery on his cruciate knee injury, all things going well we hope to welcome him back into the side at the end of the year. Todd Henderson is off his crutches next week as he recovers from surgery on his knee injury & he is targeting a November return to action.
I’d like to apologise to all the fans who turned out (on Wednesday night), that performance is completely & utterly unacceptable.
Saturday has to be a chance to put that right.
Dean Keenan (Assistant Manager)
⚽️️ EDDIE ABLOHR ⚽️
A real handful up front, Eddie leads the line in dangerous fashion for Alan Robertson’s side.
A player we’ve faced numerous times when he was Irvine Victoria, his pace & energy are always a threat.
⚽️ BLAIR COUSAR ⚽️
Another former Irvine Victoria player, Blair could be an inspired signing for Bonnyton this summer.
Agile & athletic, life will certainly not be dull with Blair between the sticks!
