⚽️ Troon F.C. versus Rossvale ⚽️
Saturday 7th November 2020
PDM Buildbase WOSFL Premier Division
Portland Park, Troon KA10 6QN
Kick-off 2pm
Portland Park enters a bright new dawn as part of Scottish senior football, when we host our first competitive match (at the second time of asking!) in the Scottish football pyramid at home to Rossvale in our second PDM Buildbase WOSFL Premier Division match of the season.
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Saturday’s match…
🎥 INTERVIEW WITH THE GAFFERS 🎤
This week, it’s goalkeeping coach Marty Fraser discussing our last match against Bonnyton Thistle.
📋 TEAM NEWS 📋
Fortunately, we have no major injury concerns & are looking in great shape coming into the match. Last week’s postponement was probably a blessing in disguise for James McGowan, who is expected to shrug off a knock from the Bonnyton win & is expected to play.
Ross McCrea remains out while he awaits surgery on his cruciate knee injury, but Jordan Morton will return to the match day squad. Mark Morrison will lead the team out for the first time at Portland Park since being named club Captain for this season.
🔎 OPPOSITION KEY MEN 🔎

⚽️ JIM FINLAY ⚽️
️A real coup of a signing for Rossvale when they picked him up in the summer from Kilbirnie Ladeside, Jim has started the season on fire and scored Rossvale’s first goal in senior football away to Beith a fortnight ago.
Only 24, Jim caught the eye with his ability at Ladeside last term but is now looking to cement himself in the top flight with his best years still to come.

⚽️ CHRIS LENNON ⚽️
A forward who has been a real thorn in our side in years gone by, Chris joined Rossvale after a spell at Gartcairn last season.
Still only 29, the former Cumbernauld United & Arthurlie player will be looking to make the number 9 shirt his own this season.

ℹ️ HOW DID THEY GET ON LAST SEASON? ℹ️
Rossvale certainly had the hex on us last season, lifting maximum points in two games.
The ‘Vale were 1-0 winners in November in a frustrating encounter for the Seasiders, which saw Manager Jonathan Baillie depart a few days later. Despite fortunes and form improving a few months later, Rossvale produced a very clever tactical display to take all three points in a 2-1 January encounter.

🎟💰 HOW MUCH IS IT TO GET IN? 🎟💰
Unfortunately, Scottish Government Covid restrictions are still in place which prevent the attendance of supporters at football.
We, as I’m sure you do, hope to see a return to supporters inside grounds such as ours very shortly.
🤝💴 HOW CAN I HELP MY CLUB IN THESE DIFFICULT TIMES? 🤝💳
We have been knocked out at the generosity of our supporters across the summer, donating their time, money and materials towards the maintenance & improvements we were doing around the ground. But the general costs of running a football club are a challenge for all clubs in these strange times.
If YOU want to donate anything to help your club out, you can do it safe online via the “Donate a Ticket” website. You can donate the price of a ticket as many times as you like, or donate a one-off amount of however much suits you – and 100% of the monies donated will go directly to the club.
You can help your club – and many thanks for those who have donated so far!
🎥🎞 MATCH HIGHLIGHTS 🎞🎥
The club’s new official Media Partner, Memories by Movie, will be filming the match & will be posting a highlights package on the club’s YouTube channel.
