Troon are on the road again this Sunday, when we head to Townhead Park’s 3G facility to take on Darvel on PDM Buildbase WOSFL Premier Division match day eight.

Troon are close to full-strength for a key run of festive fixtures.
Dean Keenan returns after a couple of weeks out, but Captain Mark Morrison is still on the road to recovery after suffering an ankle injury. Ross McCrea is a long-term absentee while he awaits surgery on his cruciate knee injury.

Former Dundee, Ayr United and Alloa defender Daryll has been a class above since he joined Darvel at the beginning of last season.
A mainstay of the side that won the Championship last season, he’s a rock and a leader on the left hand side of their defence.
⚽️ IAN McSHANE ⚽️
A product of the Queen of the South youth academy, Ian has had a superb career with the likes of Ross County, St. Mirren and Falkirk.
Darvel pulled off a real coup when they signed the 27 year-old midfielder in the summer, fending off interest from clubs higher up the pyramid.

🤫 MINUTE’S SILENCE 😔
There will be a minute’s silence before the game in memory of former Troon F.C. Manager Davie McIlroy, who sadly passed away last week aged 69 after testing positive for Covid-19.
Probably best remembered as a Scottish Cup winner with Kilbirnie Ladeside in 1977, Davie was Troon Manager in the 1980s, and oversaw our promotion from the Ayrshire Second Division into the top flight of Junior football.
Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this sad time.

ℹ️ HOW DID THEY GET ON LAST SEASON? ℹ️
Darvel were announced as joint-winners of the SJFA West Championship in the summer with Blantyre Victoria, after the season was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
After a poor start to last season, Troon had risen above the relegation zone and were sitting in 13th position when the league was brought to a premature halt.

We, as I’m sure you do, hope to see a return to supporters inside grounds such as ours very shortly.
