Troon are delighted to announce the signing of Chris Millar following the expiry of his contract at Kilwinning Rangers.
The midfielder began his career with Greenock Morton, after a spell with Celtic youth, before moving to St. Johnstone in 2008.
Millar helped St Johnstone win the 2008-09 Scottish First Division, and with it promotion to the Scottish Premier League. Millar was a regular for the next decade at McDiarmid Park, and was the heartbeat of the midfield in the side that won the 2013–14 Scottish Cup.
He returned to Cappielow in 2018 and spent 3 seasons at his hometown club before a successful season as Captain at East Kilbride, lifting the Lowland League Cup. He joined Kilwinning Rangers last summer.
With 600 career appearances in senior football, a Scottish Cup winners medal, experience in Europe & three league titles under his belt, Chris is a player of some calibre & we are delighted to welcome his leadership to Troon.
Chris will feature in the squad which faces Stewarton United at Portland Park in our first pre-season friendly of the season tomorrow night.
Welcome to Portland Park, Midge!
