The format for this season’s South Challenge Cup has been announced, and the draw for the first round will be made tonight (26th June 2022) at 7pm via Zoom to the clubs.
The competition features 163 senior non-league clubs from the Lowland League, East of Scotland Football League, South of Scotland Football League, and West of Scotland Football League.
The opening two rounds of this year’s competition, sponsored once again by Trade Radiators, will be regionalised and we have been classified as being in the “South-West Zone” with 39 other clubs. Therefore, our opponents in the opening rounds will be drawn from those below.
16 teams will be handed 1st round matches, whilst 24 teams will receive byes to the 2nd round (which will also be drawn on Sunday evening). Clubs will then go “all-in” for the third round, which will be drawn after the second round takes place.
