Troon F.C. 2004 Head Coach David Gillies and Assistant Coach Mark Leckie have stood down from their positions and will move on with the best wishes of the Academy.

A new Head Coach has been identified and will be announced in the coming weeks, once background checks and references have been concluded.

We look forward to preparing for the new season ahead (once we are allowed to resume training) and welcoming the new coaching team to Troon F.C.

David asked if we could pass on this message:

“Myself and Mark would like to thank the Academy and all the players & parents for their help and support during the season. It wasn’t an easy decision to leave the team, however with me taking a first team coaching role at Irvine Meadow it is best to be involved at one club. As the team moved up age groups I did not want any conflict of interest.

I wish the players and the club all the best for the future.”
