Kit Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic helper to support our Coaching staff. The role will be on a voluntary basis, however out of pocket expenses will be paid.

The successful candidate will take charge of the club’s kit requirements for match days and training for the first team and development squad by preparing the matchday kits, ensuring that all the kit is sufficiently washed, dried and folded ready to go out for matches. As part of matchday duties, the post holder will be in charge of managing the kit and also ensuring that all of the equipment required for matches is available at each game.

Roles and Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the club’s kit requirements, ensuring that all day-to-day duties are completed.
  • Organise kit distribution. This will involve communicating with the Manager.
  • Be responsible for ensuring kit stock levels are adequate by completing regular stock checks.
  • Liaise with the Chairman regarding the ordering of kit, providing information on quantities, sizes etc.
  • Ensure the correct kit and equipment are provided for all home and away games.
  • Work with all first team, development and reserve sides at home and away fixtures, ensuring that all kits are washed, dried, folded and put away to a high standard and readily available for each match.
  • Be expected to maintain high standards of work, keeping the whole work area of the department clean, neat, tidy and organised. This will include occasional sweeping and general tidying of the kit and boot rooms.
  • Undertake their responsibilities with full knowledge of the importance of confidentiality and the club’s relevant policies.

Essential Requirements

  • A dedicated individual with an eye for detail, enthusiastic and self-driven.
  • Excellent organisational skills and an ability to work with total discretion.
  • The ability to work well individually and within a team environment.
  • Full driving license (desirable)
